Psychosomatic Massage Therapy Certification Course

Module 1
Trauma Informed Care
In this module, we’ll learn the latest research in trauma recovery and learn how the nervous system is essential to the healing of developmental and event trauma. We’ll also develop practical application skills to help your clients feel more empowered and easeful in their bodies.
Utilizing our new understanding of the polyvagal system, we will practice identifying when our clients nervous system has become dysregulated and how to gently guide the client in self-awareness. As the therapist, we’ll also practice self-regulation and learn how we can create an environment that is truly soothing to the nervous system. We’ll practice holding space for our clients to practice interception and learn how to articulate thoughts, feelings, and sensations as a way to rehabilitate their nervous system out of a fight, flight, or freeze response and to prevent them from dissociating during a session.

Module 2
Psychsomatic Body Mapping
Understand why different areas of the body hold certain emotional tension patterns. Discover how weakened Anatomy trains can continue to enable growth around certain coping mechanisms. Practice your own relational growth with your body's emotional tension patterns. Integrating the dermatome lines, fascia Anatomy trains, chakra system, nervous system and many other systems of the body

Module 3
Somatic Emotional Processing
Integrating mod 1 & 2, and your own massage technique experience, Mod 3 helps you take the dialogue deeper with your client on the table. Encouraging your client to articulate the felt sense of each tension line within the body, guiding the conversation between them with mutual respect and validation for each other. Allowing the client to practice introspection and restoring trust in self, knowing their nervous system makes sense and is on their side.

Module 4
Facilitator Training
Are you a licensed massage therapist passionate about teaching other body work practitioners how to hold more effective space for those recovering from trauma ?
